Le colonel Fumel; holograph, [186?].

This signed holograph essay is a defense of Colonel Fumel, accused of murdering a rich and well-connected man named Campagna in Italy. Campagna was one of three hundred thieves captured and executed during the pacification of Calabria, Italy, during the 1860s.
